LOVESAC: A Friday Favorites Takeover

LOVESAC: A Friday Favorites Takeover

Did you see a familiar face in this video? It may have only been a split second, but Cameron and I are so honored to be a part of this incredible movement - the #movingdaylove movement, and further more a part of the Lovesac family. This story begins many months ago...

On a cold and snowy Saturday in March, I bribed Cameron with Chick-fil-A in order for him to come to the Burlington Mall with me. We had been housebound for weeks and wandered around the mall with all the time in the world. On our way out of the mall we stumbled upon Lovesac. Cameron had been on the hunt for a beanbag chair, so he was easily lured into the store by the massive sacs. However, once in the store, we become quite obsessed with the concept of the Sactional.

Sactionals are made up of bases and sides, which are then connected together by "shoes" and clamps. Depending on how many bases and sides you purchase, your configuration possibilities are endless! Your color and fabric choices are endless as well since the covers are purchased separately and easily go on and off the bases and sides. As soon as I realized that I could change a couch into a comfortable bed, fitting a full size sheet, I was sold. There was only one problem...we had just paid WAY too much money for our current couch less than a year ago. Cameron and I took a catalog and vowed that after a year had passed for our current couch we would revisit the Sactional, but for now...we would settle with a semi-comfortable, pilling, linen sofa. The Sactional would remain just a dream....

...until last week. As a Boston Blogger, I had the honor of attending Lovesac's event at the Liberty Hotel. Clearly, I was very familiar with the concept of the Sactional, but I wanted to see the new fall colors and meet CEO (and Designer),  Shawn Nelson. Upon arrival we placed our business cards in a bucket with the chance to win our own Sactional - what an amazing opportunity, but as someone who as never won anything (like hardly a dollar on a scratch ticket)....I didn't think much of it. The event was perfectly put together, including an incredible presentation by Shawn. I loved learning the backstory and then suddenly...it happened! We were called into one of the "display rooms" for the Sactional drawing and MY name was pulled from the bucket. "Sarah Parker Cotham" - I literally almost fainted. I might sound a little "fan-girlish" about this whole thing right now, but you have to realize Cameron and I had been discussing using our savings or a bonus towards purchasing a Sactional and suddenly we were Sactional owners - 4 bases, 5 sides, exactly what we wanted. I immediately had to FaceTime Cameron and Shawn was nice enough to tell him with me! It was the best Wednesday ever.

Then I went into re-design mode and REALLY realized that our possibilities were endless:

This past Monday, our Sactional was delivered personally by Shawn and his wonderful team, as you saw in the video above. He even helped me put it together and it ended up fitting our space better than I even imagined!

Our Sactional is the most comfortable couch/bed we have ever owned and I cannot rave about it enough. While we are clearly happy with our current color and configuration, Cameron and I are planning on buying one more base and side for our current living space. When it comes time to leave our 480 square foot condo in the Fenway, I can't wait to add on even more and possibly change the color - a new space, a fresh start - and I love that Lovesac allows me to do this. Sactionals are an investment, but I totally think it's worth it: the covers are washable, everything is replaceable without having to replace your entire couch, and you have OPTIONS. Start with a chair and go from there. I promise you won't be disappointed. Plus right now, you can receive 20% off their entire line of Sactional covers. It's time to become part of the Lovesac fam!

A HUGE thank you to Lovesac for making our dreams come true! Stay tuned as we continue to dream and configure endless possibilities, documenting our living space every step of the way. Xoxo!
