A Snowy Sunday in Vermont

A Snowy Sunday in Vermont

I’ve never been the type of person to “wish time away”, but January and February are always challenging months when you live in New England. I’m obsessed with the seasons and would never want to leave, BUT the never ending snow after the holidays can be tough. In order to keep my spirits high, I believe in wearing happy spring pastels and quick weekend getaways to change up the scenery… even if it just happens to be a 4 hour drive to Vermont. :)

While the primary location for this quick road trip was Burlington, VT… I just knew I was going to have Cam stop in Woodstock, VT (one of my favorite towns) on our drive home that Sunday… AND if we were going to brave the back roads in winter weather, we had to stop at Mon Vert Cafe for lunch.

Their coffee brisket sandwich is DELICIOUS!

I purchased this pink down jacket while we were in Burlington, VT and warmed up with extra layers and hot coffee and tea.

While Cam decided to warm up with a local brew and based his selection on the graphic, of course!

Outfit Details: Athleta Beanie (a Christmas gift from my mom in 2015 and remains one of my favorites cold weather hats), Charter Club Cashmere Sweater, Ann Taylor Scarf, Pink Down Jacket from Marshall’s in Burlington, VT, Boemos Boots

With full bellies and our seat warmers on… it was time to head back home. I spent the drive planning our next trip back to Vermont - hopefully this May!!
